“DANCING IS LIKE LIFE. THE LESSONS OF ONE ARE THE LESSONS OF THE OTHER.”~Savion Glover
Soon after beginning a professional career in her teenage years as a flamenco dancer, Diana began teaching and mentoring younger dancers in her local community through classes at the studio as well as other outreach programs in local churches and schools. During her college years, she continued to nurture her love for teaching at several local studios as well as summer intensive programs throughout South Florida. After retiring as a professional dancer, Diana has taught extensively in Miami, and is currently the Dance Department Director at Miami Arts Charter School, a performing Arts Middle and High School in Wynwood, Florida. Her accumulated teaching experience ranges in working with children as young as 4 and 5 years of age to young adults and pre-professional dancers aspiring towards a career in both commercial and concert dance. Diana teaches several styles of dance, always catering each class to the dancers’ levels and abilities in an effort to challenge and motivate them to continue growing in their art form.
